Official peace march takes place in Kyiv

Ukraine celebrates World Peace Day amid being partly occupied and having a war conflict.

Veterans of the war in Afghanistan, ATO veterans, students, activists and representatives of Kyiv authorities came to the Memorial to Ukrainian soldiers who died in Afghanistan. After the wreath laying ceremony, everyone moved to the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II , where a rally was held.

The World Peace Day is celebrated around the world on 21 September at the initiative of the UN General Assembly as the world day of refusal of violence and fire. It all started in 1982. On this day the UN encourages all countries to stop military action and at the very least 24 hours stop the bloodshed.
