Rolling Stones take the stage in first-ever show in Cuba

Fans ecstatic over band's debut concert in Havana

The Rolling Stones have made history in Havana, becoming the first major international rock stars to play in Cuba.

The band rocked tens of thousands of Cuban and foreign fans at a free, outdoor concert capping a week of engagement with the West for the Communist-run country that once censored the veteran British band's music.

Following the 1959 revolution that brought Fidel Castro to power music from artists such as the Rolling Stones, the Beatles and Elvis Presley was banned from radio and television.
