Preliminary reports say no one was hurt
Part of the roof and front wall collapsed on Tuesday morning at one of the schools located in the town of Vasylkiv of Kyiv region.
According to the preliminary information of the state emergency service, no children or teachers were hurt.
Emergency crews are working on the scene clearing the debris to make sure there are no victims under the rubble. The reason for the collapse is being established.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has instructed his Deputy Hennadiy Zubko to take the investigation of the incident under his personal control.
Students and staff are currently evacuated. Local officials say the studies will resume next week, but in the building of another school.
