Severe storm claims 3 lives in Odesa

Homes flooded and thousands left without power as storm rolls through southern Ukraine  

Authorities have declared a state of emergency in Odesa after a powerful storm came down on Ukraine's southern region, falling trees, flooding homes and bringing down electricity lines.

Three people, including an 11-year-old child who was electrocuted by a downed power line, died as a result of severe weather.

Despite a warning not to go out, some daredevils decided to have some fun rather than stay at home.

Two-meter waves did not scare away two men who decided to go swimming. People who witnessed the situation posted the video of the guys on Youtube.

Huge waves were knocking down the men, but the latter were not willing to leave the sea at all.
