Ancient Ukrainian tradition features lots of dancing, singing and playing
Easter celebrations in Ukraine last a little beyond the Resurrection Sunday.
In a city of Terebovlya which is in the western part of the country, traffic was stopped because of a spring song and dance.
Haivky or better known as the spring songs traditionally combine singing, dancing, and games. They are usually performed by a group of young men and women who join hands to form a large circle. But on occasion, the circle is broken. This gives way to the so-called crooked dance which lets the dancers get a little loose and take over the streets.
