The ‘Zvezda' memorial sign was installed by Russian pro-Putin club ‘Night wolves' and Kremlin-backed militants
Eight-meter commemorative sign 'Zvezda Pobiedy' ('Victory Star') in militant-held Luhansk has collapsed, the separatist media inform. The incident happened on November 21 overnight.
According to an eyewitness, a memorial sign 'Zvezda Pobiedy' fell during the night because of strong wind gusts. Currently all parts of the crashed monument are vanished. Social media say they most definitely were passed for scrap by militants.
The monument in the form of a Soviet military emblem, red star, was installed between the overpass sections at the railway station of Luhansk in May 2016 by members of the Russian pro-Putin motorcycle club ‘Night Wolves' together with the militant ‘authorities' of the city.
In early November of this year, 'Zvezda Pobiedy' was undermined by an unknown person. The blast damaged the base plate, but militants declared they repaired it the very next day.
As Ukraine Today reported, this summer Lenin statue pulled down in militant-held Donetsk region.
