Train was headed from New York to the southeastern U.S. state of Georgia
A passenger train struck a piece of construction equipment on tracks near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Sunday. Two Amtrak employees working along the track were killed in the crash.
Meanwhile, Amtrak confirmed that initial reports showed some passengers on board were being treated for injuries.
According to a statement by Amtrak, there were about 341 passengers and seven crew members on board the train which was headed from New York to the southeastern U.S. state of Georgia.
