In Zhytomyr archaeologists look for more noteworthy and interesting findings
Silver coins dating back as far as the 16th century, Cossack pipes and secret underground corridors were found in Zhytomyr. The treasures were unveiled during repair works in a historical part of the town.
The digging has taken place for several days already, and every day brings new discoveries. Archaeologists say the underpass they found was built some 5 to 6 hundred years ago. It is at least 300 meters long and leads to Saint Sophia Church.
