"It is symbolical that in the Year of English Language Ukraine will have the biggest English lesson in the history of the world," Poroshenko wrote. "This is a great opportunity to show the world that united Ukrainians are a powerful force able to set a Guinness record!"

At 13:00 Saturday an interactive English lesson will take place throughout Ukraine. The event will be broadcast online from the main meeting place in Lviv to other venues in different cities and towns.

To break the previous record 9,000 people will have to participate at the same time.
