Ukraine has captive Russians that can be exchanged for detained Ukrainians – Feygin

Lawyer hopes Savchenko's return is only the beginning of the prisoner swap process

Nadiya Savchenko's lawyer Mark Feygin considers that the further prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine should be conducted only in ‘all for all' regime.

According to the lawyer, there are enough captive Russian servicemen in Ukraine that can be potentially exchanged for illegally detained Ukrainian citizens.

‘We have resources for exchange. Thus, we can hold negotiation,' Feygin said at the first media conference in Kyiv after his cient was successfully returned to Ukraine.

On May 25, Ukrainian pilot-turned-MP Nadiya Savchenko, who was illegally held in Russia for almost two years, was released and exchanged for the two Russian Special Forces servicemen captured in eastern Ukraine last year.
