Memorial to the fallen guardsmen unveiled in Kyiv
Six members of Ukraine's National Guard are still in militant captivity, the fate of other 24 troops remains unknown.
National Guard Commander Yuriy Allerov reported about this at a sombre ceremony of unveiling a memorial to the guardsmen, who died for Ukraine's independence and sovereignty in eastern part of the country.
Allerov added, that many servicemen died in battles with the enemy, "whom we used to regard as a brother."
"Our sorrow is deep, as not everyone returned from the battlefield. Twenty-four servicemen from the National Guard are missing, and six are taken prisoners," the commander said.
