Ukraine's state arms manufacturer presents new models of unmanned vehicles and weapons (photos)

State-run Ukroboronprom concern marks 5 years since it was established

Ukraine's major state-owned arms manufacturer Ukroboronprom is presenting its new samples of drones, mortars, aircraft missiles, sniper rifles, and other weapons on Monday, August 29.

The presentation of advanced weapons and technology is dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the state concern.

The multipurpose unmanned vehicles ‘Phantom' and ‘Horlytsia' are among the showcased models.

‘Phantom' is an unmanned multiuse armoured personnel carrier, designed for intelligence purposes, ammunition supply and evacuation of the wounded.

The armoured vehicle is equipped with a 12,7-mm machine gun, thermal imagery device and an electric motor with a generator, which allows it to operate in the autonomous mode for about a month.

‘Horlytsia' is an unmanned aerial vehicle which can fly at a maximum altitude of about 5,000 meters and stay in the air for some 7 hours. The drone will be passed to Ukraine's military after the flight trials are completed by the end of this year.

A new 60-mm mortar designed according to NATO standards, R-27 air-launched missiles, sniper weapons are among the other modern equipment showcased at the Kyiv Armored Vehicle Plant.
