Ukrainian is among top-50 teachers of the world

A teacher from Ukrainian city Kropyvnytsky Hanna Dudich is shortlisted as a finalist of Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize 2017

Hanna Dudich is one of the best teachers in the world. She teaches English as a Foreign Language school teacher at Taras Shevchenko Gymnasia in Kropyvnytsky. 

The top 50 have been shortlisted from over 20,000 nominations and applications from 179 countries from around the world. The finalists are competing for the main prize of 1 mln USD. The final ten candidates will be announced in February 2017. The winner will then be chosen from ten finalists by a Global Teacher Prize Academy.

All ten finalists will be invited to Dubai for the Award ceremony at the Global Education and Skills Forum (GESF) The winner will be announced at the Global Education and Skills Forum in Dubai on Sunday 19 March 2017.

The award was set up three years ago to recognize one exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to the profession as well as shine a spotlight on the important role teachers play in society.
