Ukrainian soldiers seize Russian flag in Donbas

Banner has names of Russian towns and military units written on it

Ukrainian soldier Vadym Vovk has posted a photo featuring a Russian flag allegedly seized from the Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine, Novoe Vremya reports.

The fighter says the flag with the name of a Russian military unit written on it has been taken from the militants near the village of Zaitseve, in Donetsk region. The flag also has the names of Russian towns and cities.

According to Ukraine's military, over the last night the Ukrainian positions near Zaitseve were attacked with heavy machine guns and automatic grenade launchers.
