Hundreds join ‘parade of embroidery' in Ukraine's southern resort city
About a thousand of Odesa residents took to the streets on Saturday to join the traditional vyshyvanka parade. Singing Ukrainian national anthem, and holding banners celebrating the unity of Ukraine, the participants marched through the city center.
The whole families came to join the event, which is held twice a year – in spring when Ukrainians celebrate their national Vyshyvanka Day, and in summer on the Independence Day.
