On the second day of competition at the Paralympic Games in Rio Ukrainian team won 17 medals
Ukrainian team won 17 medals on the second day of the Paralympic Games in Rio – 6 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze. Now Ukraine ranks third in the Paralympics medal table, state agency Ukrinform reports.
National Olympic Committee of Ukraine shared the details. New Ukrainian golden medallists of Paralympics-2016 are: Inna Chernyak (judo, 57kh) Ihor Tsvyetov (running at 100m, 12,31), Gennady Boiko (swimming 100 m on the back, 2: 08.01 WR), Maksym Krypak (swimming in 50m freestyle, 23.33 ER), Dmytro Zalewski (swimming for 100m on the back, 1: 06.66 WR), Kateryna Istomina (swimming 100m butterfly in 1: 09.04 PR).
Silver medallists of the second day of Paralympics: Yevhen Bohodayko (swimming in 50m freestyle, 27.64 ER) Oksana Khrul (swimming in 50m butterfly, 36.45), Olga Kovalchuk (Shooting (P2-air pistol 10 m 40 shots), 191.2), Dmytro Solovey (judo, 73kg) Iryna Guseva (judo, 63kh).
Bronze awards winners: Iryna Sotska (swimming for 100m on the back, 2: 21.98), Anton Kol (swimming for 100m on the back, 2: 27.45), Oleksandr Kosinov (judo 81kg) Serhiy Palamarchuk (swimming for 100m on the back, 1: 49.76) Denys Dubrov (swimming in 50m freestyle, 23.75),(and Olga Sviderska, Andriy Derevinskyy, Yevhen Bohodayko, Victoria Savtsova (mixed estafeta swimming freestyle 4h50m, 2: 30.66).
Ukrainian Paralympians have already won 26 medals – 7 gold, 6 silver, and 13 bronze. Chinese team tops the medal table of the Paralympics 2016 with 49 medals (20 gold, 17 silver, 12 bronze). UK ranks the second with 27 medals (12 gold, 6 silver, 9 bronze).
