Breathtaking jumps from up to 16-metre springboards were performed at the 17th cliff diving competition in the Czech Republic
Over 40 cliff divers from all over the world took part in the High Jump competition. They gathered in a quarry in Hrimezdice this weekend to test their skills. The star of the festival was a Brazilian-Swiss diver Lasso Schaller. Last year he has set a new world high dive record, jumping into the water from the largest diving height - 59 meters.
Divers at High Jump-2016 used more moderate cliffs. They jumped from 12 and 16 metre platforms, as well as from a 20-metre high cherry picker. There were two catergories: professional and amateur. The second one allowed any styles and techniques.
The Championship event featured a lot of other activities like flyboarding, inflatable slides, concerts, and parties.
