Rizatdinova and Tymoshchenko bring two more Rio medals to Ukraine

Rizatdinova takes bronse in gymnastics, Tymoshchenko earns silver in modern pentathlon 

Ukrainian athlete Pavlo Tymoshchenko has won a silver medal in modern pentathlon at Rio Olympics, while gymnast Ganna Rizatdinova has earned bronze in rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around.

Russia's Aleksander Lesun took gold in pentathlon. The bronze was claimed by Mexico's Ismael Hernandez Uscanga

"Before the last event, the competitors were showing very close results. I understood the struggle is going to be difficult, but I manage to get up for it. I am very happy I managed to recover after the injury. I am happy! This feeling is overwhelming," Tymoshchenko was quoted as saying by Ukraine's Olympic Committee.

In rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around, gold and silver have been won by Russia's Margarita Mamun and Yana Kudryavtseva.

Ukraine now has 11 medals: two golden, five silver and four bronze. The country is ranked 28th in the medal table.
