28-year-old Zhytomyr-born Yuliya Yelistratova, who will take part in Rio 2016 Olympics on August 20, used the Norwegian competition as preparation for the Summer Games.
After the race, Yuliya Yelistratova, heading off to Rio on Tuesday, August 16, said, "I came here to use this as a warm up for Rio. It was a shame about the swim but I wanted to work hard on the run, my husband, Vladimir, has helped me really well and my running, with the high cadence, helps me save energy", European Triathlon Union reports.
