Ukrainian athletes get third place in overall medal ranking
The final score of Ukraine's team at the Paralympic Games 2016 in Rio is 117 medals: 41 gold, 37 silver and 39 bronze. This year's result is 33 medals more comparing with the previous games in London, according to Ukraine's Paralympic Committee press service.
As of the last day of the Paralympics, the Ukrainian team is taking the third place in overall medal ranking right after China and the UK.
On Saturday, Ukrainian athletes won 13 medals in swimming and athletics.

Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko greeted and thanked Ukrainian sportspersons for the great achievements.
"Thank you for brilliant results, sincere emotions, and inspiration, which you have been giving us every day", the President's FB page reads.
The official closing ceremony of the Paralympic games 2016 will take place on Sunday evening, September 18.

A week after the Paralympic Games started, Ukraine have already won over 70 medals.

On September 22, Ukrainian Paralympic team returned home.
It was met at the airport by hundreds of supporters.
