Polish company, Pesa Bydgoszcz, supplied the last 4 trams to Kyiv, therefore completing the delivery of 10 vehicles for ‘Kyivpastrans'
4 trams, Pesa Fokstrot, were brought to Kyiv on Friday. It is expected that the new transport should be used by the end of the year after testing.
In April 2016, Pesa Bydgoszcz has won a contract for delivery of 10 trams for ‘Kyivpastrans'. The total sum of the contract is 11,5 million euros.
Delivery of the Pesa manufactured trams began early summer, with the first wagons reaching Kyiv in August. The second vehicle was brought in November. On the 9 and 16 December, Kyivpastrans' received 4 more trams.
Pesa Bydgoszcz and Kyiv Mayor, Vitaliy Klitschko, sighned a memorandum for the supply of trams in June 2015. The Polish company has also received an order from Moscow for 120 trams, although only 60 vehicles were delievered due to depreciation of the Russian currency.
