Ukraine to present its An-178 at Farnborough airshow

Demonstration flight cancelled because of heavy rains

Ukrainian airplanes conquer the world.

One of the biggest airshows Farnborough starts in the United Kingdom. This year Ukrainian engineers present a short-range medium-airlift military transport aircraft An-178.

Opened usually by Queen Elizabeth II, this year the airshow is headed by current Prime Minister David Cameron. While numerous visitors are waiting for their turn to make a selfie with famous people, the aviators discuss their potential cooperation. One of the British enterprises agreed to produce vanes for Ukrainian planes An-132.

The detail is supposed to be quite expensive, but the engineers assure it is worth its price, fir the efficiency of engines is three times higher.

After midday the pilots start preparing for the demonstrative flights. However, the nature is trying to persuade cancel the entertainment, since flying during the torrential rain is very unsafe.

The pilots say it is such a specific luck of An-178. When the model was firstly presented in Berlin, it started raining heavily 15 minutes before the flight.

In view of total storm the airshow administration cancelled the flight demonstration, additionally the rain caused problems with electric supply and total blackout. Eventually it is decided Ukrainians will fly the next day. Certainly, if the weather conditions are suitable.
