Ukraine-made world's largest cargo plane headed to Australia

Antonov An-225 Mriya makes its first flight to Perth

Ukrainian jet Mriya is headed to Australia.

This is the first trip to the land-down-under for the largest plane in the world.

This is the first long-distance journey for Mriya in 2016.

The final destination for the massive jet is the Australian city of Perth. Thousands of spectators are expected to view the arrival and departure of Mriya at the local airport.

Ukrainian-made Mriya is a strategic airlift cargo aircraft able to carry up to 250 tons of weight.
